ACFC Members,
At the August 10, 2010 meeting of the Regina Soccer Association Board of Directors, the following motion was passed, effective immediately:
The RSA will revert from 4 clubs to 2 for U14 - U18 Premiere. The aligned clubs would form teams at their discretion. The proposed alignment is that ACFC & REU and UCT & QC would combine. In other divisions player movement between clubs shall be allowed without Placement Committee involvement in cases where clubs have shortages/excess.
There are many details that remain to be worked out but, as a result of this new development, AC Football Club and Regina East United Soccer Club have some flexibility in forming teams together. While it does not go as far toward cooperation on a city-wide basis as was proposed by the ACFC Board of Directors, it is – hopefully – a step in the right direction.
Howard Loseth
President, ACFC
